A 35 foot offshore racing catamaran. Deck and hull mold plugs machined using a combination of 3 axis tool plane and 5 axis cutter paths. Wireframed in MicroStation, Surfaced & machined in Mastercam.
Cavity and core steels for medical instument injection mold. Machined from the solid. No core side inserts were needed due to Mastercams many multi surface machining methods. Product design in Pro-Engineer, Cavity, Core & Machining in Mastercam. Optional Moldplus software split the cavity and core surfaces in 15 seconds!
Plastic Wheel cover model imported with optional direct Catia translator. 1690 trimmed surfaces,surface models don't get much more complicated than this!
